Huawei Mate 8 with 6″ Full HD Display, Android 6.0 & 4000mAH battery for $599 – Details

After all the rumors about the flagship smartphone, today Huawei has officially announced the high-end Mate 8 smartphone in CES. The Huawei Mate 8 is the direct successor to the Mate 7 that launched earlier this year, and has improved over its predecessor in every aspect.

Coming to its specifications, the Mate 8 features a similar 6-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD display (as seen on the Mate 7) with 2.5D arc glass on top of it. The device comes powered by the latest Kirin 950 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Mali-T880MP4 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage with microSD card slot for further expansion.

On the camera section, the smartphone sports a 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera with OIS, PDAF for faster focus, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Interestingly the rear camera of the device also supports 4K video recording. On the front, it features an 8MP Sony IMX179 shooter for perfect selfie images. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTe, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/GNSS, NFC, DLNA and microUSB port.

The all-metal unibody of the Mate 8 is completely built out of aluminum and also features a fingerprint sensor placed on the back side below the camera module. The device comes backed by a 4000mAh battery that the company claims can last 30% longer the same battery seen on the Mate 7 smartphone. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based latest Huawei EMUI 4.0 out of the box. It is worth noting that, it is only the second non-Nexus device after the HTC One A9 to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed.

Availability and Price:
The Huawei Mate 8 was said to be available in China and other global countries starting Q1 of 2016. The pricing of this device for 32/64GB variant will be $599/ $699.

    can we expect more phones with a ram f 4 gb in this season
