Huawei has announced its P30 and P30 flagship line smartphones after being in the leaks from a few weeks. Both these device are going for sale in Europe and nothing about the global rollout is know as of now. The P30 along with P30 Pro will be coming in Pearl White, Black, Breathing Crystal, Amber Sunrise and Aurora Blue color options. These handsets will come with a small water drop notch and are also providing a new-generation in-screen fingerprint scanner which is said to be 30 percent faster than its predecessors.
Talking about the specs of the P30, it will feature a 6.1-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ OLED HDR Display and is also IP53 rated for water and dust resistance. On the other hand, the Pro version comes with a bigger 6.47-inch FHD+ OLED HDR display. Under the hood, we can find Huawei’s own Kirin 980 SoC with 2 x Cortex A76 2.6 GHz + 2 x Cortex A76 1.92 GHz + 4 x Cortex A55 1.8 GHz coupled with 720 MHz ARM Mali G76MP10 GPU for both the handsets.
Out of the box, they will be coming with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1 on top and should be getting further updates when available. The P30 will be coming in 6GB as well as 8GB RAM variants while the Pro version will be available in 8GB RAM option. Furthermore, the P30 has 128GB of onboard storage option while the bigger sibling will be available in 128GB / 256GB and 512GB of storage.
Huawei P30 Pro is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance and has a 4200mAh battery on the rear with Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging technology. The P30 has a smaller 3650mAh battery along with the support for companies SuperCharge fast charging. These will support 40W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging and also come with the support for reverse wireless charging.
Now coming to the cameras of these handsets which is also the selling point of these devices. The Huawei P30 has a triple camera set up on the rear with a 40MP wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The P30 will be coming with 40MP wide-angle lens with f/1.6 aperture, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture, and also a ToF depth-sensing camera.
The bigger P30 Pro comes with 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom while the P30 will be offering 3x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom. Both the smartphones will come with handheld night mode and long exposure and are claimed to capture better lowlight photos compared to other phones. Moreover, the devices will come with a 32MP selfie sensor housed in the notch.
Well, the 6GB RAM variant of the Huawei P30 with 128GB of storage is priced at EUR 799 while the P30 Pro with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at EUR 999. There are two more options for the P30 Pro, i.e 256GB and 512GB storage which will be costing EUR 1099 and EUR 1240 respectively. There is no information about the pricing and availability of the handsets which should know very soon.
