iNO One – Non-Camera Android Smartphone with Dual-SIM, 3G, Android ICS – Specs & Pricing

There is a segment of users who do not want to have a camera on the back of the phone, or anywhere in the device but they would prefer to have all the other smart features. Why? It’s because most of them have the same reason – Security. Their company / organization doesn’t allow them to carry a phone which has a camera in it. There are no other restrictions, you can do whatever you want with your phone or smartphone, but there shouldn’t be a camera in the device. So, the question always remains in many people’s minds but the answer hasn’t been that good from any brand. But one of the devices that has been talked a lot about, is the iNO One Android smartphone.

The iNO One is a 4-inch Android smartphone with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and it has got some good specs, but it has something what many would have asked for – “Lack of Camera”. This native non-camera model has got no lens at all, and no holes, mountings for placing a camera externally too. The specifications could match the Samsung Galaxy S model, with the 4-inch touchscreen having a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and it’s a Dual-SIM device with one SIM having the GSM/3G and the other having a GSM connectivity.

The iNO One sports the MT6575 chipset with the Cortex A9 CPU clocking at 1 GHz, and there’s 512 MB of RAM to support the multitasking. Internal storage provided in the device is 750MB with 2GB extra USB storage, and we are not sure on how much the storage expansion is possible to, but the company is providing a 8GB MicroSD card for free. As one would wish, there is 3G connectivity and one can share that network using the Tethering option. The battery capacity is 1450 mAh and that is claimed to provide a standby time of 200 hours and a talk time of up to 8 hours.

There are a few accessories that one can purchase separately, and these include the 4-inch glossy screen protector, Zip lock cover which provides protection from rain & mud, and the chargers. The phone is seen available in the White and Black colors, and the pricing on their official website is Singapore $268, which comes to around USD 215. There are a very limited number of good devices which can offer everything good but come without a camera, thus the iNO One device won’t be a bad choice at all for those who have got a rule of “Bring Your Own Device” in the offices, but they even come with the “No Camera Phone” rule along with it.

Isn’t it mandatory in Android to have a camera in the device? I heard somewhere that the Android code requires the device to have a camera.
