How to Install Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 with CWM 6.0 Recovery

Earlier version of CWM version had some issues with the touch based controls and also in this latest version of 6.0 issues pertaining to the backing and creation of Nandroid backup too have been resolved. Please note that for applying this recovery, you will have to root the device.

  • Download the CWM 6.0 Recovery Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your tablet to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the zip file in your tablet.
  • Once placed, disconnect the device and turn Off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Press the Volume Down button and press the power button at the same time for entering the device in the recovery mode. It may take around 4 -5 seconds for entering into the recovery mode.
  • Now, with the help of Volume up key, scroll up & down to select the option of “install zip from sdcard” and then “choose zip from sdcard” to select “” file which you have placed in your device. Once it’s selected, it will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying this recovery. Once it’s done, it will reboot the tablet and it may take longer time than expected for the first reboot.

Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions. Also, restore the data backed up from your device.
