iProf Tablet for IITJEE & Video Lectures with 2D and 3D Flash Animations

iProf TabletiProf is the India’s first personal educations tablet. I may be wrong but until Indian government announced Sakshat tablet isn’t available, this is the first of its kind. What makes us to cover this on the Android Advices, it’s an Android based tablet. Though this tablet is only dedicated from the students who are preparing for the various entrance exams like IIT JEE, IIIT, AIEEE, JIPMER, EAMCET and other entrance exams into various engineering and medical colleges. The main concentration on this tablet is given to IIT JEE entrance exams.

iProf Tablet Specifications

iProf tablet is an Android based tablet which provides innovative ways of learning. It is a slim and handy device which has 7 inches screen and it weighs 350 grams. This tablet is Wi-Fi enabled It also includes 8 GB internal memory card and iProf store where iProf says they have a loaded it with hundreds of books along with video and audio lectures from the India’s most renowned faculties. The tablet makes the reading interesting with 2D and 3D flash animations.

There is no information on its processor but this tablet sports Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and it’s like a normal tablet but they looks like they are going in a different way of marketing it. There are two version of this tablet available –

  • iProf Wi-Fi Enable Tablet
  • iProf Basic Tablet

Both the tablets includes 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side and the Wi-Fi enable tablet includes a VGA front camera which allows to make video call and voice call on it, which is not possible on the basic model. Along with that this tablet includes various others functions like scientific calculator, normal calculator, image editor, media games, converter, stop watch and many other functions which are helpful in computing.

The basic edition comes with 1000 pages of summarized notes which can be easily readable in PDF. It also includes thousands of questions papers, practice tests along with their key solutions. The Wi-Fi enable tablet also comes with pre-loaded test papers, video tutorials and lot more but the Wi-Fi which is included allows you to access web using the Wi-Fi incoming signals if at available. Or else you can just go to any of the iProf study center and they have their Wi-Fi always ON for their users.

    The ministers do not know what they are talking about.

    This is only to show the people they are bringing extraordinary schemes to help the poor.

    Actually, the budget allotted is drained off by these politicians and this will carry on for years till the gadget is available (or dropped).

    By the time the minister will be out of office.

    This is the way our government is working.

      Right said, but the sakshat tablet was clearly a chinese product shown as a product by Indian IIT Students i guess.

      Even I am confused with Indian government announcement and launches. Sakshat was announced a more than a year back. There were recent news that the first contract was cancelled and they have appointed alternative for it. With that they promise to launch by July August 2011. No news from them.

          This is not about the Sakshat which was a joke itself. This is a real tablet which is available for all.
