Karbonn has announced one of their best Android smartphones, with the Smart Titanium 1 having some of the best features and specs in the entire list of Karbonn’s Android phones and although the neat specs, this phone can be well called a Budget smartphone because of the price tag of Rs. 10990 in the Indian market. Now, the reason why one would call it a high-end device is the neat and large display, and the Quad-core processor that powers the device internally.
The Smart Titanium 1 is coming with the IPS qHD display and this HD display provides a good quality of graphics and content output, and to support that, the phone is internally supported by 1.2GHz Quad-core processor which is backed by 1GB of RAM for the multitasking capability. The operating system included in the S1 (Smart Titanium 1) is the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the latest from Google and the interface has all the pre-installed Google apps and a few other to make things easier to start with, for a new Android user.
The S1 has got a 5 megapixel camera on the rear side, with a flash just below it and it has the autofocus feature to make the picture capturing easier. On the front, there is a VGA camera which is good enough for video calling. The processor is supported by the Adreno 203 GPU for the better graphics processing, and the internal memory included in the S1 is 4GB, while one can expand this to 32GB using a MicroSD card.
The Smart Titanium 1 has a thickness of 9.25mm so this won’t make it into any list of thin phones but still it doesn’t look real bulky and the design looks professional with the white color of the phone making it look totally neat with the touch-sensitive keys on the front bottom and the limited connectivity ports and the physical keys on the side panel giving it a neat look, though black color too doesn’t look any bad.
The S1 has got Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HSPA+ 3G connectivity included in it, and it is a Dual-SIM capable device supporting two GSM network SIM cards at the same time. The 1600 mAh battery although wouldn’t seem that enough but still on a little optimizing, the battery can last for a few hours on continuous usage. The phone is available for pre-ordering and the actual price of the phone is Rs. 10,990 in the Indian market.
