Kyocera Hydro WaterProof Android Phone Announced in US – Specs & Features

Kyocera at North American based smart phone manufacturer have announced the launch of a new phone which is water proof during the CTIA Wireless 2012 event. Kyocera Hydro is the device which would be sold in North America releasing from August 3, 2012. It will be available with the Boots Mobile as the carrier and it will be priced at $ 129 with no contract or terms of agreement.Kyocera Hydro Phone

Kyocera Hydro is an Android powered water proof phone which comes with 3.5 inches IPS LCD touchscreen display. This tablet receives the IPx5 and IPx7 certification and this is with good number of features. The screen provides a maximum resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and the processor capacity is 1 Ghz via the Snapdragon S2 MSM8655 processor with 512 MB of RAM. This comes with 2 GB of internal ROM so that you can store a little amount of your files and it also has a micro SD card slot by which you can pump in additional memory storage.

Kyocera Hydro includes 3.2 mega pixel camera on the rear side and the front side camera is with VGA quality. It comes with Wi-Fi internet access and includes the options of Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and EV-Do Rev A advanced technology. The battery capacity is 1500 mAh Li –ion and for power saving this phone comes with Eco mode pre installed.

Kyocera Hydro comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and it has pre installed apps likes Gmail, Google Docs, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Navigation and Picasa web album alongside with Google Play Store is the ultimate source where users can browse, download and install thousands of Android applications available for both free and paid download which includes widgets, tools and games.
