Lenovo Vibe X with 5-inch 1080p Display, Quad Core Processor launched – Details, Specs

Lenovo has just made some announcements in the midst of the IFA event in Berlin, and one of them is the Lenovo Vibe X Android smartphone with the 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, that comes with the 1080p Full HD display and the device looks neat with the thickness of just 6.9mm, and a weight of just 121gm, which makes it quite light although it’s a 5-inch screen you get here.

The display too isn’t just a simple one but is an IPS “20/20 Vision” one with the 440 PPI pixel density for the sharp image capturing and the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Internally, the Vibe X is powered by a Quad-core Mediatek MT6589T processor which clocks at 1.5 GHz, and there’s 2GB of RAM to support the multitasking and handle the load of multiple apps.

The cameras are excellent, with the rear side holding a 13-megapixel lens with the LED flash, and it’s a BSI and the front has got a 5-megapixel camera with the 88-degree wide angle lens. Running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, the device has got a photo application which helps in viewing and organizing the photos, option to create puzzles and customize specific games from the photos and to create some custom settings along with the instant photo and video sharing.

The device is made with a polycarbonate body, advanced mode and a laser engraved 3D tactile finish. The Lenovo Vibe X would be available in China and that wold start from October 2013, and the other markets where Lenovo has been already selling its devices, the phone should be entering those markets by December 2013. There’s no details about the pricing but there is a confirmation that Lenovo won’t be selling the Vibe X in the European market.
