LG today announced a brand new Android smartphone called AKA. One of the unique features of the LG AKA is its animated eyes at the top of the phone. This is done by attaching a case that covers the lower portion of the device’s display. It helps to protect smartphone’s screen, but at the same time allows the eyes to animate and display a variety of expressions. The portion where the screen is viewable can also act as a notification centre where you will get notified on incoming calls, text messages, emails, and so on. The covers come in four different colours namely Eggy (Yellow), Wookie (White), Soul (Blue) and YoYo (Pink).
LG AKA has a 5-inch IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor (unspecified) with 1.5GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. LG AKA features an 8-megapixel rear and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera has the laser-assisted focus. The smartphone has 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using microSD card.
LG has given various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS, AGPS, and USB 2.0. It measures 138.7×71.9×9.9mm, weighs 135.5 grams (without the cover case) and is backed by a 2610mAh battery.

LG is also preparing a new, H series of smartphones that will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box. The first smartphone of the series could be LG-H440N.
