The South Korean giant, LG has recently launched the successor of LG G4 Stylus called as LG Stylus 2 in Korea priced at $328. It comes with mid-range specifications such as 5.7-inch HD display, 1.5GB of RAM, 13MP camera, optimized stylus with nano-coated tip and runs on Android Marshmallow. Today, the company has officially announced two new smartphones in its K-series called as LG K8 and LG K5. The LG K8 is the mid-range device and was already listed on the LG’s official Hungary website a month ago. On the other hand, LG K5 is the low-end device and comes with all the essential features.

Let’s talk about the smartphones in detail:
The LG K8 flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with In-Cell technology, 2.5D arc glass, and 294ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 1GB/1.5GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE and includes other basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, NFC and microUSB 2.0 port. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory.
On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. The handset powers a 2125mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Its dimensions measure 144.6 x 71.5 x 8.7 mm and weighs around 156 grams. The LG K8 comes in Gold, Indigo and White color options and will be available in growing markets like Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America.
The LG K5 comes with a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA display offering a pixel density of 196ppi and comes equipped with an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port.
On the photographic section, the smartphone features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing snapper for video calling and selfie clicks. The handset comes backed by a 1900mAh battery that the company claims can easily take you through the day considering the low-end specifications. The dimensions of the plastic build smartphone measure 145 x 71.6 x 8.9 mm and will come in Gold, Silver & Titan color variants. The LG K5 will roll out in markets like Europe, CIS, and Latin America.
