LG K8 with 5″ HD Display, 8MP Camera & Android 6.0 Marshmallow Listed Online

Earlier, we exclusively reported about LG launching LG K4 and LG K10 smartphones in Italy priced at $130 and $246 respectively. Today, a new smartphone in the K series called as LG K8 is silently listed on the LG’s Official Hungarian website revealing the complete details about the device. We can expect the smartphone to be launched in the upcoming MWC 2016 event along with the LG K3 and LG K5 that are yet to be announced by the company.

Coming to the specifications part, the LG K8 flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with In-Cell technology and 294ppi as pixel density. The smartphone comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM for lag-free and smooth performance. It has 8GB of onboard that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 32GB.

On the camera front, the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus and can record videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps. On the front, it has a 5MP shooter for video calling and crisp selfie images. The device supports dual sim dual standby and includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. Unlike other LG K-series devices, the LG K8 runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The smartphone comes with a similar design like the earlier launched K10 and also comes with innovative features like LG’s gesture shot and knock code for quick access. The handset comes backed by a 2125mAh battery and comes in Black and White color options. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 144.6 x 71.5 x 8.7 mm and weighs around 157 grams. Earlier today, LG announced two new innovative smartphones called as LG X Cam and LG X Screen in its all-new X series and will be officially showcased at the MWC 2016 event later this month. The LG X Cam is a camera-centric smartphone, and it features 5.2-inch 1080p display, octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, dual 13MP and 5MP rear cameras, 8MP selfie shooter and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. On the other hand, the LG X Screen features 4.3-inch HD display, 1.76-inch secondary Always-on display, 13MP camera, 2GB RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
