For LG Electronics, their campaign at Mobile World Congress was successful one. Compared to last year, this year they had plenty of smartphones to showcase ranging from 5 inches competitor of Galaxy Note in the form of LG Optimus Vu, to L Series style smartphone with Optimus L3, L5 and L7 and on top of that LG Optimus 4x HD was the device to watch out for. Here comes Lucid smartphone spotted in leaks release heading towards Verizon Wireless launch. This is a special designed phone as of now spotted for Verizon network and lets go through this smartphone specifications and features.
LG Lucid for Verizon
Going through the specifications of LG Lucid, this phone has 4 inches NOVA display providing 700 nits of brightness which is far different from the IPS display used in the LG Spectrum smartphone. Dual core smartphones are not the high end smartphones anymore as quad core has made its entry. LG Lucid is a dual core powered smartphone clocked at 1.2 Ghz along with 1 GB of RAM. This is a 4G LTE ready smartphone, which can be easily distinguish with the back note displaying 4G LTE text below the LG logo. The smartphone has 5 mega pixel camera, which might not be the highest specifications to the camera but this is quite good camera resolution as it comes with the capabilities of 1080p HD video recording and taking pictures at a decent quality. Finally it has 16 GB of onboard storage which I think would be much enough so that you don’t need an SD card for adding content.
LG Lucid is set to release on the Verizon network and since LG Lucid is a 4G LTE ready handsets, users would be happy to pick this up. Verizon wants to add a lot more devices under its 4G LTE smartphones and their LTE network coverage is ever expanding, by the end of 2012 the coverage will cover the all towns and cities in United States. Coming to the Google Android version included in the smartphone, it’s with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and we are sure that this will receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update soon in the near future. It would be an ideal platform for LG Lucid if it had Android 4.0 pre installed and any one who wants this with Android 4.0 pre installed has to wait until the last quarter this year.
