LG Optimus 2X gets Official Gingerbread Update in UK

LG Optimus 2x LogoNow LG had made it official that the LG Optimus 2X is ready with the Gingerbread update. Although we are waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich update on the LG devices which were introduced this year. Among the devices were Optimus Black, Optimus 3D, Optimus LTE and Optimus 2X. The Ice Cream Sandwich for other three devices are confirmed and LG also confirmed that Optimus 2X will not receive Ice Cream Sandwich update.

The LG Optimus 2X users of United Kingdom can upgrade it directly available at LG PC Suite. The users can connect their phone to the LG PC Suite which they have installed on their Windows PC using the USB cable provided with the kit. Please make sure that you have connected directly to your USB port of the PC but not to the USB hub as to ensure that software update is done smoothly or else you have to go through the recovery steps during unsuccessful installation. Before you update your phone please make sure that you have back up all of your files.

    Also – the battery is the worst Ive seen on any phone since a Siemens phone donkey’s years ago.

    Just got the LG Optimus 2x, and nothing is simple…my previous phones have been self-explanatory. It refuses to connect with the server for software update, which has me in a rage of frustration. Got 2.2.2, want Gingerbread but it just won’t connect (unless LG’s server is down)

      LG about LP Optimus Black will receive ICS update in March 2012.
