LG Optimus 3D Vs HTC Evo 3D Mobile Comparison
The new set of 3D Android phones have indeed caught everyone’s eye. With cool features like 3D capture and huge displays with the latest version of Android, these smartphones can do much more than what other Android smartphones can do. The HTC Evo 3D is one of the most famous 3D phones while the Optimus 3D is a cheaper alternative, though with pretty much the same features. The HTC Evo 3D is 126 x 65 x 12.1 mm, while the LG Optimus 3D is 128.8 x 68 x 11.9 mm. The HTC Evo 3D weighs 170 grams while the LG Optimus 3D is 168grams in weight.
The standard four Android buttons are present on both the phones and the HTC Evo 3D comes with a solid build quality that is tough on the exterior with a plastic back while the LG Optimus 3D has grand looks and a nice screen with a mirror finish.

The HTC Evo 3D has GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 bands and HSDPA 900/2100 bands which gives maximum speeds upto 14.4Mbps on HSDPA and 5.76Mbps on HSUPA while the LG Optimus 3D has similar bands on GSM and 900 / 1900 / 2100 bands on HSDPA, with a support of upto 14.4Mbps on HSDPA and 5.76Mbps on HSUPA, similar to the HTC Evo 3D.

GPS is available on both the phones and Bluetooth 3.0 is enabled on the HTC Evo 3D while the LG Optimus 3D has only Bluetooth 2.1 and comes with A2DP and EDR support on both.
The HTC Evo 3D has an FM Radio on it while the LG Optimus 3D does not have FM Radio on it.
Operating System and UI:
Both the phones run on Android Gingerbread 2.3, the latest version of Android from Google. However, some units of the LG Optimus 3D might have to be upgraded to the new version by an online update as it might come with 2.2 Froyo out of the box. The LG Optimus 3D comes with its own User Interface over the stock Android OS while HTC has its own Sense UI, which is quite famous for its excellent gesture support and user friendly UI throughout the OS, built by the HTC engineers over the Android layout.
The HTC Sense is definitely fun to use and has lots of small add-ons everywhere while LG’s UI is good overall but there’s nothing really great about it.

Battery and Processor
The HTC Evo 3D has a 1730mAh battery while the LG Optimus has a 1500mAh battery. The HTC Evo 3D, on 2G has a talktime of upto 9 h 20 min and 358 hours of standby time and upto 7 hours and 45 mins of talktime and 420 hours of standby time on 3G. While the LG Optimus 3D on 2G has a talktime of upto 13 hours and 450 hours of standby time and upto 9 hours of talktime on 3G.
The HTC Evo 3D comes with powerful processors on it as well. There is a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor powered by a Adreno 220 GPU based on the Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset while the LG Optimus 3D has a Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor powered by a PowerVR SGX540 GPU based on the TI OMAP 4430 chipset.

3D Devices indeed look interesting, considering that they can shoot realtime in 3D, both photos and videos. Looking at these two devices, which compete really closely, the HTC Evo 3D gains an edge over the LG Optimus 3D for its better battery, friendlier User Interface and better build quality. The HTC Evo 3D retails at a slightly higher price than the Optimus 3D from LG, still making it a device which has total Value for Money. The LG Optimus 3D is a good device, nevertheless, but lacks good build quality compared to the Evo 3D.
