LG Optimus G Pro 5-inch 1080p Android Phone Launched through NTT Docomo

The Optimus G Pro from LG is now official, through the NTT Docomo network and with a lot of stuff better than the last year’s best LG Optimus G. The older 312ppi of the Optimus G is now bettered to the 441PPI with the 5-inch display having a full HD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and the display is excellent, bright and sharp. This comes in direct competition to the Sony Xperia Z, the HTC Droid DNA / Deluxe and the several other 1080p devices that have showed up lately in the market.

The phone is around 10mm in thickness, and looks quiet bulky and a lot thicker than the Xperia Z from Sony, and this all can be neglected as LG has come up with a very better battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh and there’s a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon Pro processor which is supported by 2GB of RAM, and the OS in it is the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version.

There’s a physical button in the bottom unlike the full touch keys in the Optimus G phone, and the phone doesn’t have those exceptional features like being waterproof, but still it does provide a beautiful interface and a lot other stuff including the 13 megapixel camera with the flash.

LG Optimus G gained a lot of fans, and LG’s Nexus 4 which was the flagship device from Google with the latest Android Jelly Bean version also has got the appreciation all around, and the company is now looking to take it forward and come up with a still better device, as one of the tipster leaking the info about a new phone LG Optimus G Pro. This successor to the beautiful Optimus G smartphone, will have a slight bigger screen with 5-inch one while the Optimus G had a 4.7 inch IPS display screen, and to join the league in the recent times, the Optimus G Pro is going to have a full HD 1080p resolution display in it – 1920 x 1080 pixels.

LG Optimus G Pro

The leaked info had a lot to talk about the phone, as internally it has got a 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor supported by 2GB of RAM. The storage of the device is going to be 32GB, and there’s nothing given about the expansion of memory through the MicroSD card. The best part of these leaks is that there are several websites talking about it, and most with the matching info. The phone measuring at 139 x 70 x 10.1mm will weigh around 160 gms, and there is going to be Android Jelly Bean OS included in the phone, but we are unsure about the exact version in it.

The camera cannot get better, as the Optimus G Pro will have the 13-megapixel camera which the Optimus G too had, and the front camera is going to be an excellent 2.4 megapixel one which would also capture some good photos apart from the video chatting that it would provide.
The phone is headed for the Japan’s NTT DoCoMo launch, and there is going to be a NOTTV functionality included in the phone, and the Optimus G Pro is going to have a 4G LTE connectivity possible in it.

Samsung has been the best in providing a good battery in its devices, but LG hasn’t been that good in the same field, still this time the Optimus G Pro is going to have a 3000 mAh Lithium-ion polymer battery in it. This should be good enough to provide a good life to the phone that is going to have a full HD display, and in comparison, the Optimus G had a 2210 mAh battery in it.

We’re expecting an official announcement from the company during the MWC 2013 event, and only then the official details, availability and pricing can be known.
