LG Showcases its Strength at LG Tech Show 2013 – Full Coverage


LG Electronics should no more be called as a Laggard when it comes to technology, after tasting superb success in Google’s Nexus 4 and Optimus G smartphone which are one of the best devices from LG, its time for one more smartphone which is called as LG Optimus G PRO.  LG Electronics has hosted a special event on April, 23, 2013 in Delhi and was dubbed as “LG Tech Show 2013” which witnessed the showcase of various products of LG including the range of Home Appliances, Home Entertainment, Mobile Phones along with the Consumer Durables. So, let’s check out on what are the various devices which were showcased in Mobile Phones Segment.

To Start with there are 6 number of smartphones which were there for the showcase, namely;

  • LG Optimus G PRO,
  • LG Optimus L3 II,
  • LG Optimus L5 II,
  • LG Optimus G

So, let’s talk about all of the above mentioned devices in detail so that you too will get a complete idea on what are the various offerings from LG as it was the reason on why LG Electronics has arranged for this Tech Show. This Tech Show was held in “Hotel Kempinski” in South Delhi on 23rd April 2013.

LG Optimus VU II:

By looking at the shape of this device, it may look bit different, while bit odd for some as its having too much of Width but when it comes to functionalities and features then it’s no less than others. To Start with, this device comes with 5 inches of IPS Display of 1024 x 768 pixels resolution along with the Dual Core 1.5GHz Processor, 2GB of RAM for faster processing, 8MP of Rear Camera and 1.3MP of Front Facing Camera. The only sad part is the Operating system which is ICS Android 4.0 which should be at least updated with the latest Jellybean 4.2 firmware and also the weight as LG Optimus VU II weighs a whopping 159 grams. LG Optimus L3 II:


After coming out with the first generation of LG Optimus L3, here comes the 2nd Generation of Optimus L3 and comes with some advancements which we will be checking out in detail 3.2 inches capacitive touch screen IPS Display, LG Optimus L3 II smartphone comes with 3.2 inches of touch screen with IPS Screen along with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels along with 3.2MP of Fixed Focus Rear facing camera. This device is a Dual Sim supported device which comes with 3G, Wi Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, A-GPS features. In terms of processing power, this device comes with the Qualcomm quad core S4 processor 1.5 Ghz processor along with the Water proof and dust proof capabilities. In terms of memory, this device comes with 2GB RAM and with 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded by up to 32GB. In terms of camera too this doesn’t disappoint as it comes with 13MP camera and 1.8MP of front facing camera. In terms of connectivity options, this device comes with Wi-Fi a / b / g / n, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and last but not the least, this device comes with 2210 mAh battery.

    I own an lg optimus g model # P-769. I really like this phone, its fast, effecent, takes unbelievable pictures! The one problem, i have with my phone is, there’s no app to sd expandable option? Why have the ability to add external card and not have the most useful resource an external port offers? But i do love my phone!

    I am using LG optimus 4x hd for now almost 6 months and it is a good phone the problem is it gets laggy when I play games. I think LG does not cheak a phone in every aspect before release. they should be more careful with a flagship device like Samsung galaxy series and try to give software update as early as possible it will make LG customers happy to buy more device.

    I agree that lg’s higher end devices i.e above 25k are excellent…….but when you look at the phones below that budget(i.e the lower and the mid range phones)..they are really bad when it comes to performance and specs as compared to phones of brands like Sony(Lg’s camera sucks big time :P)……LG really needs to focus on their lower and mid range devices if they want to taste success in a market like India………………
