Reliance owned LYF Smartphone+ adds two more budget friendly 4G smartphones in the series Flame and Wind. All the LYF phones come with 4G to support the JIO 4G offers which come with the devices. So these new LYF devices, Flame 7 and Wind 7 also get the Jio Preview offer which includes unlimited 4G data, Calls, and SMSs. This offer is also available for few selected Samsung Galaxy devices. Two new smartphones which are being launched by Samsung today, one is Galaxy A9 Pro, and another Z2 which comes with Samsung’s own Tizen OS also avail this JIo’s preview offer.

LYF Wind 7 Flame 7

Both Wind 7 and Flame 7 are having Android Lollipop 5.1 and might not get updated to the next version of Android as most of the LYF devices don’t get major updates. The company also never claims to avail updates to their devices. The Wind 7 has a 5 inch HD IPS display which is protected by Dragontrail glass. And it is powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor and has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage. Coming to the camera section, it has an 8MP sensor at rear and is accompanied by a 5MP camera on the front. And it has 2250mAh of battery capacity which we expect to last for at least a day. The Wind 7 is priced at 6,999 INR.

The other phone which releases is Flame 7. It comes with 4 inch WVGA display, with no screen protection unlike Wind 7. The Flame 7 equips Spreadtrum SC9830 processor, and 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM. And it has 5MP rear and 2MP front camera as expected and backed with a lower capacity battery of 1750mAh. And it can be bought at just 3,499 INR.

Both has the option to expand the storage via a MicroSD card. Both has Dual SIM slot, and any one of the SIM can be used to avail the 4G services. Like other LYF devices, these two also can be registered via LYFcare App to get one year extended warranty. So it looks like LYF is giving its users a record number of options to pick a device to avail the Jio Preview offer. And because of this offer and two years warranty support, it has managed to sell a huge number of LYF devices in India. It will be interesting to see what steps LYF is going to take once the Jio 4G services are available to everyone on August 15 reported.
