Samsung Galaxy GRAND Quattro I8552 Android smartphone can now be updated with the Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware which is dubbed as XXAMDB which comes with the Bug Fixes. For all those who have recently purchased their device can now update with this official firmware released by Samsung. Just in case if you haven’t got this update pushed to your device either by Odin or by the OTA update, you can manually apply this by following this procedure.
Though this phone has launched few days back, there are issues with the Camera and also there are issues with the over-heating which are addressed with this patch update. Still the battery issues are there which are partially fine-tuned in this update.

Quick Pre Requisites:
- Create a backup of all the data with the help of below mentioned steps. Alternatively, you can also create the backup with the help of KIES tool in your computer.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your computer from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Also, the minimum battery life should be a minimum of 40% or else there is a risk of device getting turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
