Galaxy S I9000

Manual Update Galaxy S I9000 with Jellybean 4.3 Android OS – Guide

Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 Android smartphone can now be updated with the Jellybean 4.3 Android OS and all thanks to the custom ROM firmware of Super Nexus. Though Samsung won’t be coming out with the Official version of jellybean 4.3 Android OS, you can still apply this update. So, before we check out a detailed guide on how to apply this firmware update, you will need to follow the list of quick pre requisites.

Jellybean 4.3

Quick Pre Requisites:

  • All the essential data in your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 should be backed up including the WhatsApp data and all the data which is mentioned below;

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

  • Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your computer from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Also, the minimum battery life should be a minimum of 40% or else there is a risk of device getting turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
  • As this is a custom ROM, you need to make sure that your phone is rooted and installed with the custom recovery image. Just in case if your phone is not rooted, you need to root the same from the below mentioned steps;

Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 – Steps to Install Gingerbread 2.3.5 XXJVT Firmware

How to Root Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 on Gingerbread 2.3.5 XXJVT Firmware

  • To check on whether the device is rooted or not, check the same with the help of “Root Checker” app.

So assuming that you are done with all the above mentioned steps, you can now proceed to the next page where we have mentioned the detailed guide which will help you update the device with the latest Jellybean 4.3 Android OS.

    If we have version 4.2.2 how we can update? We must return to version 2.3.5 and then root?. That version can not download because the link given is no longer valid. You tell us how we can do but not offer real link….
    Why you dont post all my question?????? you love only to be praised?????
