After XXLSZ version of Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware which was released just few days back, it’s now time for the bug fix update which is dubbed as XXLT4 which is the latest release of Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware. Please note that this is the Official firmware update released by Samsung and not the beta or custom ROM firmware. Applying this update won’t root the device in any manner. Very soon Galaxy Note N7000 will also receive the Jellybean 4.2 firmware which again is a great news. The change log of this new update which is dubbed as XXLT4 comes with better options in camera, faster performance capabilities along with some of the bug fixes.
- All the data in your Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 should be backed up with the help of below mentioned steps. Make sure that you are not backing the data with the help of KIES as it may not help you restore the data.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging and also make sure that your device is left with the minimum of 40% or the device will get turned off in the middle of customizing process.
- (Optional) Turn off your device so that it can be entered in the Recovery mode. Recovery mode in Galaxy Note N7000 can be entered by pressing the Volume Up Key + Menu Button and then press the Power button. Just in case if the device gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you will have to retry the process of entering the device in the Recovery Mode. If your device is rooted, then you can enter into Recovery Mode via ROM Manager app. In Recovery mode, select “Wipe Data” and “Clear Cache” to wipe all the data.
