How to Manual Update Galaxy Tab 7.7 with ICS 4.0.4 XXLQ1 Firmware
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 can now be updated with the ICS Android 4.0.4 firmware which is dubbed a as XXLQ1. This update fixes most of the issues related to the camera and also all the issues pertaining to the Google PLAY Store are fixed which are like force close issues etc. This update needs to be manually updated as this is not yet officially released by Samsung whole across the globe but as in when it arrives we will update you with the same. There is no update by when there will be an Official update of Jellybean 4.1 update officially but very soon there will be an official update for the Galaxy Tab 7.7. Please note that as of now this update is not yet rolled out across the Globe and since it doesn’t come with any boot loaders, it can be applied on any of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 device irrespective of the country.

Express Pre Requisites:

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Ensure that minimum charge left in the device is 50% or else the device may get turned Off in the middle of firmware update. Disable all the security suites present in your device as these tools tend to interrupt the process of firmware update.
