Manual Update HTC One X with Cyanogen Mod 10.1 RC2 Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware – Guide

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

  • Enable the USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” and also you will have to ensure that the minimum battery life should be 40% so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of update.

Rooting Information: Rooting & Unlocking of the Boot loader in HTC One X is a must so as to make sure that this Jellybean update can be installed.   3. OK so did what u said but u have not mentioned anything about installing boot IMG so I was in loop thought my phone was messed up even my back up would not load …. Not best instructions … To anyone in loop extract booting. From ROM then flash boot IMG using boot loader programe . do a full wipe /factory reset then flash ROM . bingo u have working ROM

  4. after the whole process and rebooting, the screen shows “CyanogenMod” with a circle rotating around and getting struck there

  5. “install zip from sd card” option is not available in the Recovery Screen. The available options are:
    Apply from External Storage
    Apply from Internal Storage
    etc etc

    So how do we select the Zip files that we downloaded and place in the phone storage ?
