Micromax maybe new to Android platform and their earlier releases of Android A 60 and A 70 might have been failed to attract customers to a large extend but they are not let down. Micromax is expecting big from their upcoming smartphone which would have dual core processor to compete with other Android mobile phone.
Micromax, an Indian based phone manufacturer company which created a buzz with cheap mobile phone earlier, its working on SuperPhone A85 mobile which would have gesture control user interface and would be targeted for high-end users.
Among the specifications of this mobile phone, it includes an impressive 5 mega pixel camera and dual core NVIDIA Tegra T20 processor with a price ranging between Rs 15,000 to Rs 18,000 in India. It’s said that SuperPhone A85 will have 3.8 inches capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels display. The screen would have 226ppi pixel density. Also the latest firmware of Android 2.3 Gingerbread would be deployed as the operating system with 512 MB of RAM.
Apart from 8 mega pixel rear camera, it would also include a front VGA camera for video calls. SuperPhone A85 will have 5 GB of internal storage and the microSD card slot provides the provision for expanding the memory up to 32 GB in size. To power all this operating on Micromax SuperPhone A85 will come with 1650 mAh Lithium ion battery which would power this mobile phone for approximate 8 hours of battery backup.
The mobile phone would be a 3G mobile phone providing HSDPA and HSUPA connectivity. Along with that it would include Wi-Fi and as a last resort you can use the web through GPRS with EDGE technology added for faster browsing. It would also provide microUSB v 2.0 connectivity for PC file transfer via wire and for wireless file transfer you can use the Bluetooth v 3.0 added to this handset.
The mobile phone would also include smart documents editor for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files. It would be capable of mp3, wav, aac, aac+ audio formats and mp4, H.263, 3gp video playback along with stereo FM radio with RDS. Other features like A GPS support for providing GPS navigation, Java emulator, SNS applications for smartphone phones social networking connect, organizer, voice memo, image and video editor. As this mobile phone OS would be powered by Google, it would includes free Google services like GMail, Picasa, Google Maps, YouTube, Picasa and other services along with Android Market to run, install and use thousands of free and paid apps.
Certainly Micromax is coming out of the box and making a statement that it is emerging and is capable of manufacturing smart phones too. So would that specifications enough for Micromax SuperPhone A85 to compete and make an impact?
