The new variant of the Moto G has been listed on the Mexico site, and the device is named as the Motorola Moto G Forte. The new variant of Moto G that is listed in Mexico is similar to the original Moto G with same specifications, but the difference that we can find is that the new variant has a rugged Grip Shell directly out of the box. This Grip Shell is available as an accessory for $19.99 in US and for Rs. 999 in India.
This new Moto G Forte will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and will feature a 4.5 inch HD edge-to-edge display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolutions protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7) processor coupled with a 1 GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. There is a 5 MP rear facing camera with LED flash (supports 720p video recording) and also a 1.3 MP front facing camera for video calling and selfies.
Similar to the original Moto G even this device comes with 8 GB on board memory and has a 2070 mAh battery on the back of the device to power it, which is claimed to be delivering up to 24 hours of mixed usage. The connectivity options are also same that we found on the original Moto G.
