Moto G4 & G4 Plus with 5.5″ Full-HD Display & Snapdragon 617 SoC Launched

Lenovo has gathered a lot of attention in the recent past about the launch of the 4th generation Moto devices, the Moto G4 and G4 Plus. The smartphones have formed part of various leaks and rumors in the last couple of weeks that gave us a glimpse of the upcoming devices. As teased earlier, Lenovo has today officially unveiled the most awaited Moto G4 & G4 Plus at an event held in India. The Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs. 13,499 for the 2GB RAM variant while the 3GB variant of the G4 Plus costs Rs. 14,999. The pricing details of the Moto G4 will be announced in coming weeks.

Moto G4 & G4 Plus

Coming to the specifications part, the Moto G4 and G4 Plus flaunts a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display that offers a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. The smartphones come powered by Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU. The smartphones support dual sim dual standby and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The Moto G4 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage while the Moto G4 Plus has 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of onboard storage.

Both the smartphones also include a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB. The Moto G4 comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus, and f/2.2 aperture. On the other hand, the Moto G4 Plus features an advanced camera, a 16MP primary camera with PDAF, laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision PureCel sensor and LED flash to capture brilliant images in any lighting conditions. Both the devices sports a 5MP front-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture for video chats and selfie lovers.

The handsets power a 3000mAh battery that is rated to last for an entire day of mixed usage and also supports Turbo Charging that offers 6 hours of usage with just 15 minutes of charge. Both the smartphones look similar in design, but the Moto G4 Plus also includes a physical home button that double’s up as fingerprint sensor for advanced security. The devices will be available for purchase online exclusively via Amazon India starting midnight.
