Moto G4 Play with 5″ HD Display, 2GB RAM & 8MP Camera Announced

Earlier, we exclusively covered about Lenovo unveiling Moto G4 & G4 Plus in India. Yesterday, the company also announced a smaller variant in the Moto G4 family called as Moto G4 Play. The smartphone comes with a similar design like Moto G4 and G4 Plus but has specifications similar to the Moto G3. The device comes with budget features and will be targeted towards the affordable category users. The pricing and availability details of the Moto G4 Play are still a question.

Coming to the specifications part, the Moto G4 Play flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD display offering a pixel density of 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, the smartphone comes powered by Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM for lag-free performance. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.

It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with zero bloatware apps for stock Android experience.On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and can record videos in 1080p resolution. On the front, it has a 5MP snapper with a f/2.2 aperture and screen flash to capture crisp selfie images even in low-lighting conditions. Like the Moto G4 & G4 Plus, the smartphone also comes with water-repellant nanocoating that makes it splash proof.

The dual sim dual standby supported device includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi and a microUSB 2.0 port. The handset comes backed by a 2800mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day of mixed usage and also supports quick charging with the provided 10W power adapter. Its dimensions measure 144.4 x 72 x 9.9 mm weighs around 137 grams and will come in Black color variant.
