According to a Google post of David Schuster, the senior director of software product management at Motorola, Moto X (1st Gen), Moto E (1st Gen) and Moto G with 4G LTE (1st Gen) to upgrade directly from KitKat to Lollipop 5.1.
After releasing test builds of Android 5.0.2 over the previous couple of months to some of devices, Motorola has decided that the improvements made in Android 5.1 are good enough and have decided to upgrade these devices directly from KitKat to Lollipop 5.1.
Motorola has skipped Android 5.0 for Droid Turbo too, jumping straight to Android 5.1. At this point, no rollout timeline has been announced for any of these smartphones.
