Motorola might have been out of the Android smartphone scene for quite a long time, but here’s what they have come up with. An exclusive Android device for federal agencies that could make use of smartphones for their communication requirements.
Motorola Solutions has come up with a new android device, named the AME 2000 that comes with a AME 2000 Secure Mobile Solution. The phone isn’t yet another Android smartphone in the market, but has special hardware and software builds on it that have been customized to provide secure and highly confidential end-to-end encrypted voice and data communications through wireless networks in an encrypted way. This could be a great device for federal and government agencies which use the Android platform or Android based applications and processes to handle their working schedules and applications.
The phone also comes with CRYPTR micro, a hardware security module with tamper protection for keys, tokens and certificates. Further, smaller customizations and tweaks can be added to the phone as needed by the federal agency of the country and that would make a great addition to the complete functioning of the smartphone.
Though not much information on the specifications of the phone, its distribution patterns or its availability isn’t available as of now, the AME 2000 does seem quite promising on the front it is trying to cater to.
