Motorola Razr HD – Steps to Use HSPA+ on Non-Verizon Networks & Disable Fast Dormancy

DROID Razr HD LogoHaving an unlocked Motorola Razr HD smartphone? Then you can now force your Droid RAZR HD to use HSPA+ on Non-Verizon Networks & also you can easily disable Fast Dormancy. Generally, it will be using the HSPA+ instead of LTE network but after following this guide which we will be checking out in the due course. Full credits to XDA Senior Member pfak for finding this workaround. It’s possible by adding few lines to the build.prop file and for doing so, you will have to ensure that your phone is rooted.

To check on whether your phone is rooted or not, you will have to download the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store. Just in case if your device is not rooted, you will have to root the device with the help of below mentioned method,

Now, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you need to edit the file which is named as “/system/build.prop”. You need to add the below mentioned commands as it is in your device and save the same;

ro.mot.ds.fastdormancy.disable=true

telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0

ro.telephony.default_network=3
