Motorola has now announced the roll out of Android 5.0 Lollipop update for both first and second-generation Moto G smartphones in the Indian market and Moto G (2nd Gen) in US. The update was earlier made available for the Moto X (Gen 2).
Today, the company announced that the over-the-air (OTA) Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Moto G (1st and 2nd generation) will arrive starting today, and the company will soon start the roll out for other eligible Motorola devices as well.
As the Lollipop update will be available over-the-air (OTA), you will automatically get a notification on your phone about the update, however you can also manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.
As per the changelogs shared by the company, the Android 5.0 update brings material design changes, improved notifications, new interruption and downtime settings, redesigned multitasking UI, changes to ambient display, updated Motorola Assist, Smart Lock, performance enhancements, and improved battery performance.
