MTS mTag 353 CDMA Android Phone – Specs, Price & Features

After an inspiring success of Micromax, MTS India is trying hard to be to felt its presence in the market. Records says that MTS a pure CDMA operator in India with a total subscribers count above 10 millions and they have come up with another CDMA based Android smart phone. Extending the mTag line of smart phones, they have launched mTag 353 a successor to mTag 352. Micromax last month announced mTag 351, mTag 352 and mTag 281 entry level Android phone and after that press release, here is the fresh one from MTS as they have announced mTag 353.

MTS mTag 353 gives the CDMA phones a fresh look with style and class design. The device is for the tech savvy youth and comes with exciting plans for high speed data and voice calls. It features 3.5 inches HVGA capacitive touchscreen display with ability to display 262k colors and has the dimensions of 480 x 320 pixels resolution.MTS mTag 353

It will be powered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and includes the 3 mega pixel camera on the rear side for mediocre photos & video recording at 30 fps. It will be powered with 800 Mhz Qualcomm 7625A processor along with 256 MB of RAM acting along. It includes 150 MB of internal memory and 32 GB of the micro SD card support via the micro SD card slot included. The device includes the Wi-Fi Hotspot, Assisted GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, Orientation sensor options as well and support playback of mp4 and 3gp videos formats. Among the audio formats MP3, AAC, AAC+, EAAC+, AMR, OGG are been supported.     256mb RAM? and 150mb internal memory? Seriously?? This can never get ICS and what can a user do with 150mb memory? This is definitely the worst phone I saw released this year. Those chinese phones from last year beat the crap put of this, and then some. I mean, I wouldn’t have mind if the price is half of what is listed for because this converts to 114usd. Unless I missed a very crucial point about this phone I am disgusted by this phone. No wonder Android has so much fragmentation. Great article though, I always appreciate your ability to be objective about the reviews and not subjective like I just was.
