This kernel comes with a host of advantages to wrap it up in short, this kernel will empower your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 with the following benefits:

are you an idiot? 300% more volume is useless if the sound quality isn’t there. only and idiot would care about loud music and not quality.
also, color temperature is not a “sony bravia” thing. it’s a light thing. any light.

I just replaced a older kernel for this one and wow! It’s so much faster. I just used SGS Kernel Flasher instead of Odin and it only took about 2mins to do. Thanks for the great work.

Is there any other way to increase volume in CM7.1? I don’t really need a 300% volume increase but a healthy 20% would be nice. :)-

I was on XXJVT when I flashed CM7.1 Stable rom. Now my Baseband version is I9000XXJVK. I’m quite keen on the ‘Volume increase’ feature. Will this work on my CM7.1 or do I need to go back to XXJVT? Neal?

    Hi Neal,
First of all let me tell you friend, your site is fab and I have just updated my Galaxy S, after having numerous problem with it.

I have fallowed your advise to t from here and thanks to you now I have Galaxy S XXJVT and rooted as well. Every thing seems to be running fine. Specially all the familiar stuff like Swype and Samsung Market App. My question is why do I have issue of lagging sometime specially when I am using Go launcher and some teething problems with my apps and today I had major issue with my stock dial pad which did not ring out and I had to reboot 3 times.

Please advise would this kernel sort this problem out as well as make my phone Zippy. Would I still have the swype and other Samsung Stock rom fav. Is this Kernel similar to CynaogenMod7.1 as I have been told that this rom has similar feature of overclocking as well Increasing volume. Would appreciate if you can advise the stability as well as how good is this kernel compare to any other custom Rom.

Thanks in advance for all your technical ability for Android community and look forward to hearing from you very soon.

XXJVT is btteer one as of now as it has improved modem and improved features like over scroll glow and other tweaks in internet broser in terms of flash. Custom ROMs are try and keep kind of thing, it all depends on the individual likings as every custom rom has additional utilities and User interface, so i would request you to update by checking out the respective screen captures of the custom roms which we have covered as we also mention the screen captures in the custom rom articles!

Until now this version is qiute stable, but the battery drains out more quicly than XXJVR: ~12h comparing to 2 days.

I have installed XXJVT, root and Semaphore. It seems to work fine until now (only 2 days old).
But when I move the apps from phone to SD the app size become smallest (e.g. ExtensiveNoteLite from 4.00Mo -> 2.04Mo); this happens to all apps I have checked; they seems to still work with this small size. Does anybody know what happens ? Thanks

I have the I9000 and installed the upgrade as described. When I installed the Semaphore kernal update the internet is now almost at a standstill, the app market and other data dependant items will timeout.
Is there anything I can do/ settings that I need to change?
