Its raining with Android smartphones and tablet at the moment. Moreover I would like to say its raining with more Android gadgets as it’s just not the Android smartphones and tablets which were announced by various manufacturers at CES 2012 but Android has arrived for various other gadgets like media player, point to sale terminals, network media players, Polaroid SC 1630 digital camera and Android HD webcam too.
Apart from Sony Z Series music players debut this week which is an Off CES news here comes news from the Philips as they present their lone product been shown at fair. The Philips GoGear Connect 3.5 is the latest device produced by Philips shown at fair which is a media player powered by Android operating system, officially approved by Google.
Continueing their GoGear line of music players, the Connect 3.5 is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered music player and it comes with several improvements and iterations from their earlier versions. Rather than improving with many hardware specs, there has been a lot of addition to functionalities of this Connect 3.5 phone. Philips didn’t comment on the screen size of it though they made it clear that it will support the playback of 720p HD videos smoothly without any struckings in between. Coming to the screen size of it, Connect 3 had a 3.2 inches display screen and more consumers are liking the large screen display as spotted in various newly launched smartphones, Connect 3.5 might come with 3.5 inches HVGA display screen.
Apart from normal music and video playback with this media player, the users can make use of what Android has famous for. With Android on your phone you get free Google services like YouTube, Gmail, Picasa, Google Maps, Google Music, Google talk, Google Calendar, Google search and lot more. Importantly you would be able to browse the Android Market to download, install, uninstall, update, use widget and lot more via a common place for all. This is what the Android platform has been famous for and being open source you can modify the phone accordingly to your requirements giving you the openness to your own customization.
Also its hard to comment on the price of Philips GoGear Connect 3.5 as with such features you get a smartphone with same specifications and so price has to be kept very reasonable enough so that users can afford to buy it in comparison with smartphones. Philips plans to release this in April 2012. If you are looking to purchase any Android music player then check to the top Android music players available in the market.
