Philips W6618 is the new Smart phone that will be featuring a mammoth 5300 mAh battery. Earlier we have seen a 5000 mAh battery on a Chinese made Android powered Smart phone – Eton Thor. This Philips W6618 was released in China couple of days for $273 which features a 5 inch screen and a dual SIM variant.
The Philips W6618 is a 5 inch device with 540 x 960 pixel resolutions that is powered by a quad core MediaTek processor clocking at 1.3 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM and will be running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. More importantly this device will be having a 5300 mAh non-removable battery on it that can provide a standby time that is more than two months, i.e. 1604 hours or 66 days and gives a talk time of up to 33 hours.
The internal memory of the Philips W6618 is at 4 GB and there is a micro SD card slot to extend it. Other details like the connectivity and the camera of the device is not mention but the device is 11.6 mm thick because of the size of battery given to it.
