At the end of June last week, Google surprises everyone by launching Google Nexus 7 tablet just before Google I/O summit. The launch of Google Nexus 7 tablet means it’s the launch of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system which is the predecessor of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Many people are wondering will their smart phone be update to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The fact that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to all the smart phone by all the manufacturers got delay too much and this has invoked a negative response in users that Android update are delayed by too long.
While it’s clearly noted that Google’s devices will be first spotted with Jelly Bean update, various other manufacturers are trying out to bring their best and be first atleast for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.
Samsung has good touch with Google as they have tied up with the launch of Galaxy Nexus smart phone manufactured by Samsung. Google during the I/O summit confirmed that two of the recent Samsung smart phone will receive the OTA update to 4.1 very soon.
As soon as the Jelly Bean was launched by Google, Samsung developers are testing out the new version of the Google open source operating system and bringing out the best possibilities to make it available soon. We are sure that it will be Samsung Galaxy S III first to receive this update then followed with Galaxy S II and then to several of the Samsung Android smart phones like Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Note and other phones in the Galaxy Series. But there is no exact date has been announced either by Samsung or by Google for the deployment.
Many of the Samsung phones are already updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and for those phones which have received OTA update to 4.0, will quickly be update to Android 4.1. Even smart phones which are qualified for the Android 4.0 update and hasn’t received any such update until now, then might get Android 4.1 update directly on their handset via OTA or the Samsung KIES.

Roughly, all the high-end smart phones launched in 2012 by all the manufacturers will be update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Also devices with dual core, quad core processor will also be sufficient enough to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It isn’t required to publish a list of devices capable to receive the 4.1 Jelly Bean update as its clear that those devices qualify for Android 4.0 ICS will be update with the same update.
