Play HD Files on Android Phones – FLV, AVI, MKV, MP4, OGM Supported

Until the Android arrived, we used to check what audio and video formats do the phone supports. The phone used to support few formats only and infact users had to convert those video on the web using the converter softwares to the format which is supported on their mobile phones. Mostly users had been looking for the 3GP format as it was the widely accepted format by most of the phones and devices. But as Android has arrived the game has changed completely and with the Android now you can play almost all the formats thanks to Android Market that many apps and players are available.

But there are certain requirements to play supported audio and video formats as they should be atleast on the Gingerbread OS first and the next thing few applications might require to have the root access on to your phone. If it doesn’t ask well and go, you can straightaway install and use the application. Other thing your phone should have minimum hardware so as to push the high content played efficiently. The Android phones with 600 MHz processor are able to play the video but gives you disappointing results and 800 MHz single core would be sufficient enough to get good results while playing high graphics good. Of course if you have high-end smartphones then you don’t need to check this out.

Mobo Player

The Mobo Player is the best application for audio and video playback in terms of interface, browsing and playback quality. This is a free application capable of playing most the audio and video formats. Along with that it will support most of the subtitle such as SRT, ASS and SAA for the video formats like MKV, MPV and MOV.

  • Supports all the video formats
  • Includes sub titles for the popular formats

Seamen Player

If you have high-end smartphones then I guess you might be having the lot of HQ content. The Seamen player is one such application available for Android phones for free which supports the playback of HQ files along with the normal files and formats. Good thing is that it also supports Android 2.2 Froyo based phones too.

Seaman Player

MX video player all the way. It plays anything and everything. I love the volume boost and the different screen sizes to fit your particular cell phone. swipe up on the screen for volume up and down, no fumbling for buttons. It makes an avi of xvid quality look like a 720 mp4 file. and of course it plays mp4, mkv, avi, 3gp 3g2, mov, flv, m4v, pretty much anything you can throw at it. Its by far the most superior player

just to point out , You’ll get all these features in MXVP as well !! but which one to use, is all up to you and you only !

      • Reply Yogesh Patel November 7, 2011 at 9:17 am

MXVP is still not matured enough app, that was the only reason we didn’t choose it among the two.

MX Video Player is also good one compared to Mobo Player. In my Galaxy Ace, I felt some videos went out of sync with audio while using Mobo Player, while i dint experience same in MXVP. Also, It supports all those features in Mobo Player + multi-touch zoom. I bet everyone will love that, but yes the UI of Mobo Player is far impressive than MX Video Player. but as far as video players r concerned, it shud satisfy wat it claim, which I feel MXVP does it better than MVP.

Totally agree with you.. plus mobo is installed on phone memory and mx can be installed on sd as well.. :)
