Xiaomi launched Redmi 2A smartphone in China back in June. The device came with decent specs and was a huge hit not for its specs, but the pocket-friendly $78 price tag it carried. Now, the company all set to launch the ‘Enhanced Edition‘ of the Redmi 2A smartphone with more RAM and internal storage to offer better user experience.
The company has sold over 10 million units of the current Redmi 2A smartphone and also has announced that the new edition will also carry the same price tag. The Redmi 2A Enhanced Edition is expected to be launched on November 11 in China and with the holiday shopping season around, the company is betting big on the high number of sales of the new Redmi 2A smartphone.
Regarding specifications, the Redmi 2A comes with a 4.7-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 312ppi. It comes powered by 64-bit Leadcore L1860C quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Mali-T628 MP2 GPU. As earlier said, the Redmi 2A Enhanced Edition comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, when compared to the 1GB RAM and 8GB storage of the current Redmi 2A smartphone.
On the camera cordon, the device sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing snapper for video calling and selfie clicks. Connectivity options on the dual sim capable device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. The handset comes backed by a 2200mAh battery and like Redmi 2A will also be available in various colors. Stay tuned for more details about the official launch of the device…!
