How to Root Galaxy S2 I9100 on XXLPS ICS 4.0.3 Firmware – Tutorial

    What kinda root is this? This method can make a phone in to a brick in n easy way. Indian Freaks, don’t bother your self in telling people how to brick their devices. You know nothing. !!!!

    My question is quite different , I just want to root my Galaxy SII which is already updated with official update through kies installed on my PC via USB cable.

    How Can I root my already installed Galaxy SII with the following Version (Baseband Version) I900XXLPS , Kernel 3.0.15-1900XWLP7 , there are many applications which ask me that you dont have root access , how I can get root access on my ICS 4.0.3 on my galaxy SII , I dont want to install any firmware as its already updated please suggest i am new to rooting topic.

    Can this rooting process be reversed in case i change my mind?
    And did you say it wont connect to kies any longer after rooting?

    I have different crashes (black screen, no answers, have to power) since the upgrade & rooting.
    Going to unroot to see.
    Might be related to an app that’s not ICS comatible.. but which one, I kept all the applications installed from the prev OS.

      yes there are some apps which are still not compatible with the ics

    ok, did all this word by word, so now where is superuser? i downloaded superuser, busybox and titanium backup, yet is says its not rooted. what have i done or what do i do now? thanks

    Do you really need to do the factory reset after updating?

      I didn’t any wipe. Just works perfect. Try yourself. If any problem go back and do full wipe.

    Waited 10 min and my phone did not restart. Odin screen said all threads successful and the box on the top left was green with a PASS!
    I tried to reset the phone in recovery mode but nothing happened.
    Can someone please help me get my phone to work!

    my phone will reset but after showing galaxy s2 with the yellow triangel it will turns in black screen and do nothing? help?

        With me is the same. But after I successfully root my phone (have all confirmation that everything is OK) it is still in this mode with black screen(with yellow triangle) and not possible to boot in the system! I reinstall update firmware so I can use mu telephone and repeat process several times – always the same

          dito! This is serious problem!! Phone is now bricked. My PC cannot even detect my phone so I can’t put a kernel or rom into the sdcard. ODIN also cannot detect the phone after this install. What do I do now?

      hey, I have the same problem, it stacked on boot. Dont write that it is normal, there is yellow triangle and nothing happends after that!!!!

      No ics update for them and they will not receive it either.

    the link for the package is weird, i do not get a .tar file which is required but a .rar file and there is no odin also
