am I understanding that you need to copy the PHO6img.zip file to the phone (drag drop file) and then UNZIP it on the phone?

atm I get same hang up at…
    No Image found etc
    ..
    Parsing…[PH06IMG.zip]

    • Reply Neela Pradeep March 28, 2012 at 9:22 pm

dont unzip in your phone, you need to use it as a whole!

  16. Reply Arno March 14, 2012 at 11:36 pm

It doesn’t find the PHO6img.zip file when it goes it to boot?! Help!

  17. Reply Shahib ahmed March 8, 2012 at 5:38 am

\Once you enter into the HBoot, the phone will scan the PH06IMG.zip which you have placed in the SD Card. Now, you need to enter into the Recovery mode by pressing the power button and the Volume key which will take you to the clock work mod recovery.\
i couldn’t make it to mod recovery… please describe this part again..

    • Reply Neela Pradeep March 8, 2012 at 10:05 am

you need to first enter the device in the recovery mode!

  19. Reply Danish Jamil February 9, 2012 at 12:44 am

I’ve put both files in SD Card.. When it comes to HBOOT, it gets the file PH06img.zip , but after that it’s saying
    Parsing…[PH06IMG.zip]
    i think it’s not working..?

  20. Reply Sudhir January 12, 2012 at 8:11 pm

This procedure is not working for htc chacha with
    Hboot-1.04.0000
    microp-0557
    radio-7.47.35.17

please help i would like to root my phone

  21. Reply ahetuki December 31, 2011 at 4:42 pm

I don’t think this article is of any help. I have not seen a single positive response here.
I kept the two files in the /mnt/sdcard dir. I also tried to place it in / dir and was denied for permission.

On Hboot the loader fails to identify the two zip files. Either this article needs to be more elaborate or it should be deleted from this website.

May be this guy doesn’t understand the whole process itself!

    • Reply Pradeep Neela December 31, 2011 at 4:44 pm

we have noted the same, really apologize for the same! due to some bootloader issues, the devices are unable to get rooted!

  22. Reply Bacalan Boy December 26, 2011 at 4:08 am

    I am confused:
You talk about s-off, you show a screen capture where we can read \BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON\, you say that \we should see S-OFF\, but you say that the screen capture with \BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON\ corresponds to s-off ?
I have the same screen as the one you captured, am I s-on or s-off ?
Could you clarify a bit please. Thanks.

    • Reply Pradeep Neela December 26, 2011 at 9:36 am

If u are able to install any zip then s on is off or else u need to s off.

  23. Reply Iain December 24, 2011 at 2:57 am

image file doesn’t exist or is wrong, you’re full of shit.

    • Reply Pradeep Neela December 24, 2011 at 2:33 pm

  24. Reply almodovar December 19, 2011 at 4:33 pm

I can’t even select HBOOT. It only lets me choose from FASTBOOT, RECOVERY, CLEAR STORAGE and SIMLOCK. Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong. Its my first time rooting. Thanks.

I pressed the volume up key but there is no flashing process. Do you mind making a youtube video please?

    • Reply NeaL Pradeep December 16, 2011 at 11:56 pm

due to some issues we can’t come up with the video but please follow the instructions, these should help you!

  26. Reply Daniel December 13, 2011 at 7:15 pm

Now, you will have to press the Volume Up key and then the flashing process will be started, once its done you will then be asked to reboot he phone manually. How does it works? I press the volume up key but it shows nothing. There is no flashing process??

    • Reply NeaL Pradeep December 13, 2011 at 8:16 pm

yes daniel, its mentioned in the article!

  27. Reply pissed off user December 12, 2011 at 11:03 pm

why take all this effort to make a fake guide? The screenshot for the HBOOT is not a ChaCha screen. If this is indeed true. Either show a video or correct screenshot of ChaCha hboot. This is showing Buzz.

        • Pradeep Neela December 31, 2011 at 4:26 pm

Is this a guaranteed fix to change S-ON to S-OFF?
I am fairly active on various forums, including XDA and this method won’t guarantee the S-OFF they claim.

    Any tips?
