  2. BJ says:

Is this a guaranteed fix to change S-ON to S-OFF?
I am fairly active on various forums, including XDA and this method won’t guarantee the S-OFF they claim.

    Any tips?

  3. saeidos says:

doesn’t wanna work… i have a HTC CHACHA, s-on, and followed your steps, but after i disabled the fastboot and turned it off… turned it on with the volume button pressed down…. it check the file and said no image, and nothing else happened… what else should be done?

  4. saeidos says:

if you mean by that the files that I downloaded from your link, well, i did that, but nothing!

  5. Nishant says:

Okay so I don’t want to mess this thing up so as a precautionary step i want to as you something.

I placed the files in the phone and then when i booted with the volume key down, i see the same page as in your tutorial and there’s a fast scan that takes place and that PH file is scanned. Now I am on that screen only and my S is ON. What to do next?

  6. Nishant says:

and when you asked SEIDOS to place the file in your phonec did you mean the phone memory? Cause right now its in my SD card.

  7. Joseph says:

its says no image or wrong image

  8. pissed off user says:

why take all this effort to make a fake guide? The screenshot for the HBOOT is not a ChaCha screen. If this is indeed true. Either show a video or correct screenshot of ChaCha hboot. This is showing Buzz.

  9. Daniel says:

Now, you will have to press the Volume Up key and then the flashing process will be started, once its done you will then be asked to reboot he phone manually. How does it works? I press the volume up key but it shows nothing. There is no flashing process??

  10. Daniel says:

I pressed the volume up key but there is no flashing process. Do you mind making a youtube video please?

  11. almodovar says:

I can’t even select HBOOT. It only lets me choose from FASTBOOT, RECOVERY, CLEAR STORAGE and SIMLOCK. Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong. Its my first time rooting. Thanks.

  12. Iain says:

image file doesn’t exist or is wrong, you’re full of shit.

  13. Bacalan Boy says:

    I am confused:
You talk about s-off, you show a screen capture where we can read \BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON\, you say that \we should see S-OFF\, but you say that the screen capture with \BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON\ corresponds to s-off ?
I have the same screen as the one you captured, am I s-on or s-off ?
Could you clarify a bit please. Thanks.

  14. ahetuki says:

I don’t think this article is of any help. I have not seen a single positive response here.
I kept the two files in the /mnt/sdcard dir. I also tried to place it in / dir and was denied for permission.

On Hboot the loader fails to identify the two zip files. Either this article needs to be more elaborate or it should be deleted from this website.

May be this guy doesn’t understand the whole process itself!

  15. Sudhir says:

This procedure is not working for htc chacha with
    Hboot-1.04.0000
    microp-0557
    radio-7.47.35.17

please help i would like to root my phone

  16. Danish Jamil says:

I’ve put both files in SD Card.. When it comes to HBOOT, it gets the file PH06img.zip , but after that it’s saying
    Parsing…[PH06IMG.zip]
    i think it’s not working..?

  17. sezostrice17 says:

oh shit! just parsing the image till the end.. until no battery..

  18. Shahib ahmed says:

\Once you enter into the HBoot, the phone will scan the PH06IMG.zip which you have placed in the SD Card. Now, you need to enter into the Recovery mode by pressing the power button and the Volume key which will take you to the clock work mod recovery.\
i couldn’t make it to mod recovery… please describe this part again..

  19. Arno says:

It doesn’t find the PHO6img.zip file when it goes it to boot?! Help!

  20. Severly Fustrated says:

am I understanding that you need to copy the PHO6img.zip file to the phone (drag drop file) and then UNZIP it on the phone?

atm I get same hang up at…
    No Image found etc
    ..
    Parsing…[PH06IMG.zip]

  21. Nienke says:

    Oke, let’s try this…

  22. Nienke says:

    Oke, this won’t work?
On the internet i see you will need a xtc-clip.
Now i understand why this is not working.

Ore is there somebody that will guaranty that this works?
