There are 2 pre requisites which you need to follow before proceeding so as to facilitate the smooth rooting process.
- First and foremost you will have to ensure that the data which is there in the device is taken backup of so that just in case if any data is left you can then restore the same. With the help of simple steps mentioned below, you can backup and restore things.
Messages – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Phone Memory Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Music, Pictures & Videos & Other Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card as its safe,
Multimedia Messages (MMS) & Internet Settings (APN) – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Ensure that the device is charged with the minimum of at least 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the process of firmware update. Though most of the users tend to miss this step, you need to follow the instructions carefully or else you may end up bricking up the phone.
