SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
You will have to enable the USB Debugging Mode from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. Ensure that the minimum battery level is 50% and also you will have to disable the antivirus as well as firewall tools tend to disrupt the firmware update process.

Procedure to Root Karbonn Mobile A7:
- Download the A7 Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, place the downloaded update.zip file to the root of the memory card. Don’t place the zip file in the phone memory as it may not detect the zip file in the recovery mode. You can also enter the device in the recovery mode with the help of “ROM Manager app.
- Once you have placed the device, disconnect the device and turn off the phone so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Just in case if the device doesn’t get turned ON in the recovery mode, you will have to retry the process of entering the device in the recovery mode.
- Power off the phone to press and hold up the volume + key sources for entering the device in the recovery mode until the recovery screen appears red.
