    Hi Pradeep,

I have tried n number of times to root my defy plus but have not succeeded yet.

I have repeated all the steps mentioned in your blog but I could not find CWM application installed on my phone.

Here are the steps that I have followed:

    1. Downloaded and extracted the file and have also validated all the 9 files.

    2. Enabled USB debugging on my phone.

    3. Connect my phone to my laptop using USB cable.

    4. Double-clicked on rooten.bat file.

    5. Batch file gets executed and all the 3 steps are completed within 5 mins but I only get Superuser app and no CWM.

Request you to help me root my phone.

    Great guide! Thanks!

    Questions though.

    1. USB-mode, what USB mode should you set the phone to? Motorola Phone Portal, Windows Media Sync, USB mass storage or None?
    2. The cable, does it really matter what cable you use? You say we should use the cable \we got at purchase\ but any compatible cable should do?

Also it would be really nice to hear other peoples results using this guide here in the commentary.

usb mode is just like a pen drive mode, you can explore the files present in your phone!
yes, it matter. Always use original cable! if you use any other cable then it may interrupt the process!
