How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 – Tutorial

we never mentioned that you should mount / unmount the sd card! kindly mount the device and re apply the update!

I tried this.. but it dont automatically reboot after installing update.zip .. and also it takes a second to install.. after that i manually rebooted than in my galaxy y everything was as usual .. and still I cant figure out that how to install apps in my sd card.!!

I have purchased this phone in Vietnam, and they have some pre installed VN features Like, Zing Music, ZING Internet, and few games in Vietnamese, when i followed the entire process, and my phone restarted successfully, but these Preinstalled VN features continued to stay, which means the update was not successful, or can i now delete this Pre installed files separately?

simple, just follow the instructions which are mentioned to get your phone rooted!
use titanium backup which is easily available in play store!!!!
the system app are colured red !!! you can now easily delete system app as well !!!! but be careful !!! don’t delete necessary system file !!!! u need to root first !!! just click on the file u want to delete than one box appears and then click remove !!!!

Hi… I tried the steps you’ve mentioned above but after installing the update.zip my galaxy y did not reboot automatically. It says installation from sd card complete. so i manually reboot the system. I thought i successfully rooted my phone because i can see the superuser app installed on my phone. but, when i tried to download apps for rooted device only, i cant. There is a message Your device is not compatible with this item.. please help.

hey i tried rooting my samsung galaxy y… but when i started with the recovery state and chose the “install form sd card”
its saying “unmount/cant load sd card”.. and i cant move the update zip to my phone memory i just can save it to memory card.. any solution for these??

Yes there is option of wireless and network.. But in the wireless and network there is no any option of USB setting.. there is only option for USB is Tethering and portable hosts..
