Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with 16MP Camera & 4GB RAM Officially Launched in China

Samsung recently launched next-gen Galaxy A-series smartphones called as Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) in India priced at Rs. 29,400 and Rs. 33,400 respectively. The brand also unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016) back in December last year and is still limited to the Chinese market. Earlier, we exclusively covered about the upgraded variant of the Galaxy A9 called as Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro passing through TENAA and FCC that revealed most of the key features. Today, Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro in China. The upgraded Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is priced at 3,499 Yuan (approx $540 / Rs. 35,800) and will go on sale in China soon.

Talking about the specifications part, the Galaxy A9 Pro flaunts a phablet-sized 6-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D arc glass, and Corning Gorilla Glass laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it comes equipped with same Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. The device has 4GB of RAM when compared to the Galaxy A9 that has 3GB of RAM. It features hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim.

On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 16MP rear camera with OIS, dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front-facing shooter for video chats and selfie lovers. The device comes with 32GB of built-in storage with microSD card slot for expansion upto 128GB. The dual sim capable smartphone includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. The Galaxy A9 Pro runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based TouchWiz UI out of the box.

The device features an all-metal body and also houses a fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button. The fingerprint sensor enables the authentication of the lock screen, apps and also ‘Samsung Pay’ virtual payments. The handset comes backed by a larger 5000mAh battery that can easily last a couple of days on a single charge and also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charging technology.
