Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus Launched in India – Price Features & Specs

It was in January that we first heard of Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus through Samsung announcement and this device finally is launched in India today. Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is the upgraded version of the Galaxy Ace a hit model from Galaxy ranges of Samsung manufactured smartphones.

Samsung India has launched Galaxy Ace Plus which will be priced at Rs 18,100. The device what is called as the clone of iPhone 3G. The device comes with 3.65 inches HVGA display screen providing a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels provides 158ppi pixel density and it’s with multi touch TouchWiz interface by Samsung which overall is an intuitive user interface as spotted on earlier Galaxy smartphones. The screen reproduces graphics and images with vivid colors making use of the 16 millions of color combinations. The Galaxy Ace successor is well crafted to deliver outstanding performance as it runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chipset clocked at 1 GHz along with Adreno 220 GPU and 512 MB RAM. Though this is not a high end smartphone but it will eventually complete with HTC One V which was launch earlier today.

Just like Galaxy Ace, Ace Plus will also runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and Samsung might provide an update with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but nothing has been said during the launch. Samsung has added 5 mega pixel camera to this, which provides capturing of photos at reasonable good quality with LED flash to help you get a clear visual during the low light conditions as well. Camera can easily record 640 x 480 pixel resolution videos at 30 fps which is nearly the 720p HD video quality and it comes with image editor so that you can edit photos if want along with other features like geo tagging, auto focus and smile detection.

Samsung has designed Galaxy Ace Plus with a trendy and sleek finish. As you on the rear side of the phones, it’s with the shiny plastic sporting camera, flash and speaker, the top side holds the 3.5 mm headphone jack and at the bottom you can find the mic and the USB port. Power button is on the right and the volume rocker keys are located on the left side. The device is comfortable to hold in hands and comes with dimensions of 62.5 x 114.7 x 11.2 mm.

This phone is powered with 1300 mAh Lithium ion battery and it comes with 3 GB internal memory to store important files and date on the phone itself. The memory can be expanded by adding a micro SD card slot supporting 32 GB via micro SD card slot. The phone adds Wi Fi internet connectivity and you can make Wi Fi tether as well. As this phone comes with Android OS, you get pre-installed apps like Gmail, YouTube, Google Mails, Google Calendar, Contacts and access to Android Play Store along with various Samsung services like Social Hub, Readers hub and game hub.

Galaxy Ace Plus is announced at Rs 18,100 but its clearly indicated that its priced at Rs 15,500 at Flipkart online shopping portal. It will arrive leading retail stores in India within this week.
