Samsung Galaxy Beam GT I8530, the first Android based projector phone which was earlier showcased at Mobile World Congress in February at Barcelona, Spain has finally arrived in India. The device is finally available for pre order on the Samsung India official estore.
Galaxy Beam is an ultra slim projector smart phone which is an innovative technology merging the capabilities of projectors in a truly way that you can carry the device on your pocket. Going through the specifications of the Galaxy Beam GT I8530, it would run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and it would be with 4 inches WVGA TFT PLS display.
It’s powered with dual core 1 Ghz processor and includes 5 mega pixel camera with flash for recording 720p HD video recording alongside with picture capturing. This would be with 768 MB of RAM and it includes 8 GB of internal memory along with a micro SD card slot to expand the memory up till 32 GB of size.
The big feature alongside having the good specifications is the usage of this smart phone as projector as to share photos, videos, presentations and other digital media with friends and family directly on to any surface or wall. This features ultra-bright 15 lumens projector which allows projector in outdoor environment too.
A varied map, business information and a varied range of multimedia content can be projected on to 50 inches wide. A similar projector based phone was launched by Spice in India a year back but the projector of it was not so much effective enough.
This would be powered with 2,000 mAh battery which is long lasting and provides 1200 minutes of talk time during 2G and 575 minutes during 3G usage. This would be available in Ebony Grey & Spot Yellow color variants.
