Samsung Galaxy FIT S5670 – Steps to Install Beta 3 ICS Android 4.0.3 Firmware
As promised, we are here with your request for an Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.3. Please note that this update of Cyanogen Mod 9 ropes in the goodness of ICS Android 4.0. In a very unfortunate event, Samsung Electronics has refused to come up with any sort of Value update or a compatible ICS build for Galaxy FIT, but all thanks to Cyanogen Mod team who are on their way of building a stable ICS version. Please note that this update can only be applied on the Galaxy FIT which bears the model number as S5670. We are really thankful to framequake who has made this ICS firmware port possible.
Please note that this is not an Official firmware developed by Samsung Electronics and is a firmware developed by third party developer. In the due course of this article we will be checking out on what are the list of pre requisites which you need to follow before we could proceed to the next page where a detailed tutorial is mentioned. This update is not a stable release yet and is still in the beta stage, over the coming few days we will be checking out more stable firmwares.
Caution: This update is not recommended for network locked devices.

Essential pre Requisites:
- Enable USB Debugging in your device from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked in your phone.
- Backup all the data present in your phone so as to ensure that the just in case if the data gets erased or corrupted, the same can be restored easily with the help of below mentioned steps.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Minimum charge left in the device should be 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the process of firmware update.
- Uninstall all the security as well as antivirus suites installed in your computer so as these tools generally tend to interrupt the process of firmware update.
So assuming that you have followed all the instructions mentioned above, you can now proceed to the next page where we will check on how to apply this Cyanogen Mod 9 firmware in your phone.

there will be some bugs but it will be addressed v soon!
Following are the bugs in this rom:
1. keyboard is not showing properly in portrait screen mode. But download ICS Keyboard from market and that is working fine for me.
2. Camera is not Working. Third Party app also not working.
3. Can not change time zone.
4. DSPMAnager Lilg is not working. Force close.
5. When power on , always show USB debug disabled.
6. When opening and then exiting Terminal Emulator, it always show in the notification bar.
7. Screen movement is very slow.
I think we have to wait more for a stable update of ICS 4.0 for our Fit.

but the model number is shown as S5570 and even the keyboard doesn’t fit in the screen while using it in vertical mode
I can’t download the Cyanogen MOD 9 package now .The connection is broken . Please check and put more oulets.
I already update to this ROM, but restart over and over again .I almost cann’t do anything to the phone, there are big bugs to be solved urgently . Hope your stable version .Thanks .

Hello , Pra ,we hope the stable verson come out as early as possible .Seems no stable CM7.2 available either yet .
I updated my Samsung S5676. But am very unhappy , because it hangs many times and camera not working. I dont know whether I should go back to Gingerbread or wait for some times till bugs are fixed.

Its a nice effort…….I successfully upgraded my samsung galaxy pop 5570 but few issues are there like:
unable to connect to pc via kies
camera not working
left and right buttons of phone are not working
keyboard opens half but i have switched to japanese keyboard in built

Launching ICS on 600mhz is not an easy task bro. I am already impressed with your confidence level when you say that next versions will run smooth.

i have rooted my android S5670 but it is not booting in the recovery mode.
With both up volume key and menu key, it goes into RAMDUMP mode
With only the menu key, it goes to the samsung logo and hangs.
Any alternative???
Download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store and then flash the custom recovery image
