Samsung Galaxy FIT S5670 – Steps to Install Beta 3 ICS Android 4.0.3 Firmware

Galaxy FIT LogoAs promised, we are here with your request for an Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.3. Please note that this update of Cyanogen Mod 9 ropes in the goodness of ICS Android 4.0. In a very unfortunate event, Samsung Electronics has refused to come up with any sort of Value update or a compatible ICS build for Galaxy FIT, but all thanks to Cyanogen Mod team who are on their way of building a stable ICS version. Please note that this update can only be applied on the Galaxy FIT which bears the model number as S5670. We are really thankful to framequake who has made this ICS firmware port possible.

Please note that this is not an Official firmware developed by Samsung Electronics and is a firmware developed by third party developer.   • Enable USB Debugging in your device from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked in your phone.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

  • Minimum charge left in the device should be 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the process of firmware update.
  • Uninstall all the security as well as antivirus suites installed in your computer so as these tools generally tend to interrupt the process of firmware update.
