Samsung Galaxy to Get Gingerbread 2.3 Firmware Update Officially
The Samsung Team is not internationally looking to break out any release news related to the firmwares but the Romanian Team has given out some hints on their facebook fan page. Here is a copy of the same.
Here are some news about what upgrades will be available in March for your Samsung mobile with Android:
until 20 March will be available for users to update to 2.2.1 S Galaxy, and Gingerbread (2.3) until the end.
I5500 Froyo will be upgraded to next week (March 14 to 20).
I5800 … will be upgraded to Froyo in late (until March 31).
If you are looking for a official version for the firmware upgrade then you still have to wait for a few months because the Samsung Officials are still testing the same and are not going to release the same anytime soon. Example the Froyo Update is out in United States by for India its still pending officially. All the upgrade instructions given on this blog are mostly tested and then published to give the maximum experience to the users.
Meanwhile the only device as of now which was released with 2.3 is the Nexus One which was actually sold as a device for developers to try and test out their applications. Other companies have a quicker rate of pushing their firmware updates but samsung has always been very slow, may be its because they want things to be perfect or may be they are not able to handle all the positive growth in the past year.
