Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 approved by TENAA, to arrive soon – Details

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 3, successor to the Grand 2 has been approved by TENAA (China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre) recently. The model number of the phone is SM-G7200.

According to the TENAA listing, the smartphone comes with a 5.25-inch 720p screen – just like its predecessor. The new Galaxy Grand measures 146 x 74.8 x 7.95 mm and weighs 140 grams, whereas the Grand 2 measures 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, and weighs 163 grams.

The Galaxy Grand 3 comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. It is powered by a newer processor (a 64-bit, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410) and storage space of 16 GB. Other features include 1.5 GB of RAM, microSD card support up to 128 GB, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

This smartphone will be available in white, black, and other colors. As Galaxy Grand 3 has already passed the TENNA, it might be launched soon.

The benchmarks of the Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 have been spotted on GFXBench website. The smartphone is codenamed as SM-G7200. The same smartphone was also spotted earlier this month having passed Bluetooth SIG certification online.

According to the benchmark listing, the Galaxy Grand 3 will feature a 5.5-inch 720p HD display and will be powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. The Galaxy Grand 2 featured a 5.25-inch 720p display and was powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. The RAM will be of 1.5 GB. The smartphone will feature 16GB internal storage, and on the camera front, a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front facing camera will be there. As for software, the device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The Alleged Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 Spotted at GFXBench Website – Details

Samsung had announced the Galaxy Grand 2, predecessor to the Galaxy Grand 3  last year. The Galaxy Grand 2 came with a 5.25 inch touchscreen with the HD display having a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The processor was a quad-core one clocking at 1.2 GHz. The smartphone was running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with the TouchWiz UI. There was an 8-megapixel camera on the rear side with the LED flash and 1080p video recording, while the front 1.9-megapixel camera.

Last week, South Korean Giant Samsung made two of the devices official and announced the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 devices. These devices will feature a unibody – full metal design with classy design and are slim too. These are the replica of the Galaxy Alpha smartphone and will come with a thickness of 6.9mm and 6.7mm for Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 respectively. There is no information about the pricing of these devices for now, but the device will be available in November to buy. Samsung is also pushing many colour variants of these like Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Pearl White, Soft Pink, Champagne Gold and Light Blue. We are not sure if these devices will be available globally in the initial stage and hope that they do hit your region.
