Dear Mr.Neal,
I think you want to talk about the SGS GT-I9000 UK, but in your tutorial there is in the second paragraph a mentioning of Samsung Galaxy S GT I9100 and if it is a mistake it may lead the readers to a misunderstanding. Please consider and correct if it is a mistake or is this update applicable to SGS GT I9100 too?
Thanks,
Mahmud K
it was a typo, thanks for the finding! we have corrected the same
what are the list of enhancements with official XXJVT than the one posted on androidadvices earlier? can we expect any fix for improved battery backup? Please advice as i am on rooted XXJVT and the only issue now is the battery backup

Hi
I have been checking Kies for the official Samsung firmware update to 2.3.5
Still says my firmware version is Gingerbread.XXJVO is the latest version??
Are you sure that 2.3.5 has been released officially by Samsung in the UK through Kies
Let me know
Rogerbill 77
you can apply the update manually of XXJVT!
That is true, but my SGS is locked to T-Mobile, and I do not want to slip up and brick the phone!!
I feel the official update thru Kies is most likely the safest way to proceed with the update?
In any event, I go back to my original question – are you sure that Samsung have actually released 2.3.5 thru Kies in the UK?
Thanks for your patience
Rogerbill77

Hey, I just upgraded to this firmware, because the previos one had this particular issue, Sometimes after I use a couple of apps and Press the Home button, the Homescreen is blank for a few seconds and only then do the widgets appear again. And when I open the App tray its the same case theres a circular loading thing for a few seconds before the icons show, Now, I updated to this firmware and am sad to find out that the problem persists.
Please Help.
